Spring Festival
People may say we do not celebrate Spring Festival that much any more. “We were kinds forced to do so,” I quoted from a friend.
I would blame it to my being less passionate on everything, but to be specific on the matter of New Year, it could be something else.
It has been a non-traditional holiday for us for a long time. There was no much mandatory visits to relatives and other social settings. It was us being away from work and study, spending some relaxing time. In the years abroad, students may care less on the matter, but to compensate some inner eagers, there was always some little gatherings, or at least something ‘ritual’, say, watching one minute of the gala, making some food nice than usual…
But overall there’s no special feeling.
Not even caring about the debate of CNY and LNY anymore. Interestingly, myself three years ago, probably lot pinker than now, once criticized in the comment box when the school posted on instagram celebrating CNY, saying that there were fellow community members from other countries treasure that day.
BTW, I guess I should update at least once a week. Another session is coming up so I hope it would clear up my thoughts a bit more.
Chilling in the study room, facing the window. It’s snowing. Same location yesterday, the song Qiuyuqiulai came into my earbuds, how emotionally nostalgic.
